Louisville Books to Prisoners is an all-volunteer organization. We need volunteers to help perform the following tasks:
- Sorting, picking and packing books
- Contacting additional facilities to obtain authorization to ship
- Managing our social media (Facebook and soon Instagram)
- Fundraising to meet 2019 goals: 50% increase in number of inmates reached
We’re busy preparing for 2019!
We are presently moving our book storage and packing space from Portland to Douglass Boulevard Christian Church. We expect to move most of our books and supplies on December 8th of 2018 and plan to resume book mailing operations in January of 2019. We’re very excited about working with and becoming part of Douglass Boulevard’s social justice community!
